Position: Relationship Manager (SME)
Job Location : Northern Zone
Deadline: 28th April, 2025.
Job Purpose:
After onboarding potential customers, you will be responsible for driving sales of assets and liabilities for SME businesses in the Northern Zone.
Main Responsibilities:
- Additionally, you will provide SME businesses with loans and deposits, and cross-sell products (Internet banking, cash transfers and FX)
- Onboard and appraise SME assets, and make suggestions for decision-making.
- Advise the Senior Manager, company Banking on all elements of building the commercial company (assets and liabilities).
- Take the lead in boosting SME sales through strong customer connections, networking, and relevant promotions delivered through the branch network.
- Continuously coach and engage Relationship Officers to strengthen their skills, ensure high-quality credit applications, and drive business growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the SME portfolio’s performance to achieve target goals.
- Review consumer input, market intelligence
- Coordinate and achieve budget objectives for the SME goods responsibility area in line with the allocated budget.
- Ensure consumer satisfaction by providing accurate sales advice that meets their expectations.
- Create a budget and projections for the SME product sector. The budget should include a list of existing, prospective, and potential clients who will benefit from loan and deposit items
- Perform any other duties as ordered or assigned by his or her line manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good credit analysis capabilities.
- Good client relationships and a thorough understanding of the bank’s lending products, policies, and procedures.
- Conversant with conventional computer software (Excel, Word, and Access).
- Furthermore, you should possess excellent communication abilities in both English and Kiswahili.
- Business management, leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in banking, accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5+ of experience managing relationships with clients in business and commercial banking
- Proficiency in Credit Evaluation and Analysis
