Job Position and Minimum Qualifications
1. Truck Drivers – 70 Posts
Contract Type: Seasonal
Requirements:
- Valid Class E driving license
- 3+ years of truck driving experience
- Certificate from a recognized driving school
- Literacy and awareness of safety standards
- Willingness to work night shifts
Responsibilities: - Transport sugarcane to the factory
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently
2. Civil Technician at Unitrans Tanzania – 1 Post
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years in road construction
- Proficiency in QGIS, MS Office, and safety compliance
Responsibilities: - Plan and oversee infrastructure projects
- Coordinate inspections and compliance checks
3. Technician – Heavy Equipment & Machinery – 11 Posts
Requirements:
- Diploma or Trade Test in Diesel Mechanics
- 3+ years in haulage vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems
Responsibilities: - Conduct preventative maintenance
- Manage spare parts and fleet availability
4. Auto Electrician at Unitrans Tanzania – 5 Posts
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Auto Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years in heavy vehicle electrical repairs
- Ability to interpret technical schematics
Responsibilities: - Diagnose and repair electrical systems
- Maintain repair records
5. Technician – Heavy Duty Truck – 11 Posts
Requirements:
- Certification in Diesel Mechanics
- Hands-on experience in truck diagnostics and repairs
- Knowledge of braking, hydraulic, and CAN-bus systems
Responsibilities: - Perform routine and emergency repairs
- Maintain roadworthiness of the truck fleet
6. TMS Officer – 1 Post
Requirements:
- Advanced Diploma in IT/Computer Science
- Experience with fleet management systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols
Responsibilities: - Optimize transport management systems
- Ensure system functionality and driver compliance
7. SHERQ Coordinator – 1 Post
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Engineering
- ISO and SAMTRAC certifications
- 3+ years in a related role

- Conduct inspections and risk assessments
- Prepare reports and lead audits
