DCS Operator Responsiblities:

  • Shift operation management in a thermal power producing plant involves planning and executing shift operations.
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues during shifts, including load management and plant stoppages.
  • Routine check after taking over Shift/Shift operation and reporting.
  • Coordinating with the field operator and executing modest maintenance chores during shifts.
  • Monitoring and ensuring environmental compliance during shift operations at the facility.
  • Monitoring and controlling the safe operation of the complete power plant and utilities, as well as ensuring that the cement factory receives uninterrupted power according to load requirements.
  • Handling all types of emergency circumstances in boiler and turbine operation and reducing the stoppage of connected load main drives due to operational issues.
  • Monitoring coal bunker levels, fly ash/bed ash silos, and raw water tank levels on a regular basis in shifts and taking remedial action as needed.Online job postings
  • Complete all log sheets (daily):
  • Maintain and update shift log book with essential parameters, main activities completed during shift, and pending tasks.
  • Recording hourly changes in the functioning of all equipment (if any, or following an operational disturbance caused by a sudden load throw-off).

Skills and Experience;

Experience:

  • Seeking freshers or individuals with up to 1 year of experience in DCS panel & Boiler/ Steam Turbines operation, including maintenance expertise.
  • Previous exposure in Coal-based Thermal Power Plants with AFBC Boiler knowledge is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in major Boiler & Turbine repairs
  • Expertise in Cold and Hot startups of AFBC boilers
  • Quick response to plant emergencies like blackouts and system failures
  • Competent troubleshooting in boilers and DCS panels

Qualifications:

Full-time VETA education background, particularly in Boiler technology, is preferred.
