Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular OB van equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and timely upgrades.
- As needed, give the production team on-the-job training and technical support.
- Work together with technical personnel and broadcast engineers to streamline processes and boost productivity.
- Keep thorough technical records and precise logs of all equipment maintenance and use.
- Provide and put into effect technical specifications for broadcasting any live, mobile, multi-camera, large-production sports and programs, particularly football.
- Have a thorough understanding of VSAT, encoders, modulators, amplifiers, and how to maintain them.
- To guarantee effective signal routing and control, install and maintain video routing systems.
- Assure complete adherence to legal and industry broadcasting standards.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics/telecommunication engineering or a related field from a recognized technical university.
- Professional certifications in broadcasting technologies are an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast technology, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in live broadcasting environments.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Job Experience:
Five years or more of OB van expertise is required, ideally with configurations that include ten or more cameras.
practical knowledge of routing systems, including replay machines, audio mixers, and video routers.
Demonstrated proficiency in live sports broadcasting, particularly in football and other important events.
