The Director of Morogoro District Council has got an Employment Permit (Ref. No. FA.97/228/01/A/25) from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, dated 29/04/2025. The Director of Morogoro District Council publishes job openings and welcomes competent Tanzanians to apply Driver II – 5 Positions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips for safety
- Transport staff for official duties
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance
- Collect and deliver documents
- Maintain trip records in the logbook.
Job Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Candidates for employment must have a Class E or C driver’s license
- A Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV)
- At least one (1) year of accident-free work experience, and training credentials that allow them to hold the appropriate licensing classes.
They must have taken a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA or another organisation approved by the government. - A medical examination could be necessary to confirm a driver’s fitness.
- Outstanding driving abilities and familiarity with traffic regulations.
- A spotless driving record.
General Requirement:
- All candidates must be citizens of Tanzania and under 45, with the exception of those who are actively working for the government

- Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, and Form IV and Form VI results slips will not be accepted under any circumstances.
